GUEST POST-CROCHET BEAR BROOCH WITH LEHANDMADE
I'm so happy to introduce you to Emilie, the talented girl behind
! Today she is here sharing the cutest ever bear brooch pattern, with you guys. If you aren't already following
Emilie
on
and
, you definitely should! Take it away Emilie...
This little brooch is made of 3 circles, 2 are exactly the same , and the third one, for the bear snout.
You need some scrap and superfine or fine yarn (some sock or sport weight yarn is OK) to get a similar size. I used some Natura yarn from DMC and a 2,5mm hook size.
The brooch is 5cm x 5cm size, more or less.
You'll also need some amigurumi stuffing, security eyes and embroidery thread (or fingering yarn to be able to embroider the bear nose)
And here you have the pattern:
Face and back circle (make 2)
Row 1: 6 sc in a magic ring
Row 2: 6 inc (12 sc)
Row 3: *1 sc, 1 inc* x6 (18 sc)
Row 4: 1sc, 1 inc, *2 sc, 1 inc* x5, 1 sc (24 sc)
Row 5: *3 sc, 1 inc* x6 (30 sc)
Row 6: 2 sc, 1 inc, *4 sc, 1 inc* x5, 2 sc (36 sc)
Row 7: *5 sc, 1 inc* x6 (42 sc)
Row 8: only on the back loops, 1 sc in each sc
Fasten off and weave the end
Snout circle:
Crochet only on the back loops:
Row 1: 6 sc in a magic ring
Row 2: 6 inc (12 sc)
Row 3: *1 sc, 1 inc* x6 (18 sc)
Row 4: 1sc, 1 inc, *2 sc, 1 inc* x5, 1 sc (24 sc)
Fasten off and and leave the yarn with an enough length to sew it directly on the face circle.
Ear (make 2)
Start with a magic circle, but crochet in row, not in circle
Row 1: 5 sc in a magic row, ch 1, turn
Row 2: 5 inc (10 sc), ch 1, turn
Row 3: *1sc, 1inc*x5 (15 sc)
Fasten off and and leave the yarn with an enough length to sew it.
Assembly
Embroider the nose and mouth with a black thread on the snout circle.
Sew the snout circle on the ace circle, not in the center, but in the lower part (see picture)
Put the security eyes or embroider them with the same black thread than for the nose and mouth.
And now, take the two circles, the one for the face and the one for the back, and, only on the back loops of both circles at the same time, crochet a slip stitches row, all around the circles. Before you finish and close the head, put some stuffing to give volume to the bear head.
Finally, sew the ears on the top of the head.
Sew the brooch pin on a small felt piece that you'll sew directly on the bear head.
And that's it, you have a new handmade by yourself accessory!!
Enjoy it!
